Our Visit To Longwood Gardens

Kenneth Square, PA

Spring 2018

Longwood Gardens in PA has got to be one of the most beautiful places in the world.

I wish I lived closer. I would be there all the time! Most recently we have stopped there on the way to Washington, D.C. It was as beautiful as always with some areas renovated to look even more lovely.

Our Visit To High Point State Park

Montague Township, NJ

Few Times A Year

High Point State Park is yet another beautiful place. I feel like every other post I write starts with these words. It is especially true of High Point! With breathtaking views, it is the highest point in NJ. There is camping, miles and miles of hiking trails, a lake to swim in and sand to play with. Read more about our visit to High Point State Park below!

Our Visit To Duke Farms

Hillsborough Township, NJ

Several times a year.

We absolutely love Duke Farms, especially now, after the renovations, when you can go on a bike all around the place! It used to be guided tours in the green houses. That was a beautiful place to go, especially in the middle of February, when you walk inside and smell summer in the middle of winter. Now they remade the place, and you can go hiking through the grounds. It is also beautiful.  I love that now it is outdoors and self guided! They kept an orchid green house open for visitors, so you can still walk in in the middle of winter and feel like you’re in a tropical paradise. It is such a wonderful place.

Our Visit To New Hope and Lambertville

New Hope, PA and Lambertville, NJ

We go there so often, that I just couldn’t put a date on it.

We haven’t gone away on vacation for quite some time. Between little kids, finances, dog, house, grandparents it is just a little difficult. We do, however, have a favorite local spot to which we go every few months to get away. It’s the Lambertville NJ – New Hope PA area. Many things that we would want to find while vacationing we have found there in abundance.

Our Visit To Statue Of Liberty

Liberty Island, NJ

October 2013

Statue Of Liberty is going in both NJ trips and NY trips.  It’s a destinations for both.

This is our second trip to the Statue Of Liberty as a family. After being there once only a few years ago, I don’t know if we would have made this second trip so soon. However, this time my aunt was visiting from Odessa, Ukraine. We decided to go there and enjoy it together.

Our Visit To Liberty Hall Museum

Kean University, New Jersey

September 2015

“Built in 1772, on the eve of the American Revolution, Liberty Hall has been a silent witness to more than 200 years of American history. “– retrieved on 12/5/2014, from http://www.kean.edu/libertyhall/about_us.html

Even though fall is a busy time for us with learning, and regular activities like art and soccer, we did squeeze in a trip to the Liberty Hall Museum at Kean University. We were very pleasantly surprised at how much fun the trip turned out to be.

Our Visit To Giggleberry Fair

Peddler’s Village, PA

May 2013

The kids and I were headed to Bucks County, PA, to run some errands. To make this routine trip more fun for them I like to pick a cool place to visit in that neighborhood. Some place that we haven’t been to before. This time I chose Giggleberry Fair on friend’s recommendation.

Our Visit To Reeves-Reed Arboretum

Summit, NJ

June 2017

A friend recommended this place quite a few years back.  She would take her family there to take some lovely family photos.  Reeves-Reed Arboretum is very local to us, and there is no entrance fee.  I wish I had gone there sooner.  However, you need to find the exact address and directions, as the place blends in with the residences around the area.  If I were just driving by, I wouldn’t think that there is anything there.

This summer was our very first time that we made it to the New Jersey State Museum in Trenton.  What a wonderful and surprising experience it was.  We all absolutely loved it.
